The Liverpool Philharmonic Hall is one of the UK’s top arts and entertainment venues. Its year round programme includes top names from all genres, including comedians, Jazz artists, Rock and Pop musicians and many more; not to mention Liverpool City Festivals such as Liverpool Arabic Arts Festival, Liverpool Irish Festival and Liverpool Comedy Festival. The Merseyside Maritime Museum is based in the Albert Dock and explores the importance of Liverpool in the Second World War, what life at sea was like with the Merchant Navy and how maritime Liverpool was “a gateway to the world”. It has an impressive gallery and library and it is just a 15 minute walk (5 mins in taxi) from the apartment.
Deep within the city is The Bluecoat Arts Centre, a unique Grade I listed arts centre is just under 300 years old and plays host to a range of visual art, music and dance shows and runs a participation programme with local communities. It is a 10 minute walk from the apartment (5 mins in taxi) and is close to Liverpool Central train station.
